Case Study: Hogan Chevrolet's Putt for the Dough

Client: Hogan Chevrolet

Event Summary
Held at Scarborough Town Centre, Hogan Chevrolet's Putt for the Dough gave participants the chance to win $100,000 by putting from progressive distances.  The event also included a photo shoot with a Chevrolet Camaro.  There were also other Chevrolet vehicles on site for attendees to view.  All proceeds from this event were donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank.

Objectives

  • Promote Hogan Chevrolet within the local community through an engaging charity event
  • Raise brand awareness by increasing their social media presence

Strategies
Infinity's event management team focused their promotional activities by building their social media presence and by increasing their interactions with their audience through social media to generate interest in the event and create a buzz.  Having a lot of giveaways including the $100,000 grand prize putt created an incentive and attracted people to the event.  Attendees were also able to join Facebook on-site and 'Like' Hogan Chevrolet's page during the event.  A contest was also held to win tickets to 'Glee: Live in Concert' as an added incentive for people to 'Like' Hogan Chevrolet's Facebook page.  Staff from Hogan Chevrolet was available on-site to answer any questions regarding their dealership and the vehicles.  All photos taken with the Camaro were posted on their Facebook page in order to drive more activity towards their social media presence.  Hardcopies of all photos cold be picked up afterwards at the dealership, which allowed Hogan Chevrolet to be able to follow-up with the event participants and have a chance to sell them a vehicle.

Results
This event raised over $1,500 for the Daily Bread Food Bank.  There was also an increase to sales and traffic at the dealership following the event.
